In the X3 and R engines, Rotex engines with enhanced power and exceptionally high durability are installed. Dust is the number one enemy of the engine. Given that our driving environment mostly involves dusty conditions, where dust particles can penetrate the air filter, causing clogging, turbocharger blade erosion, and increased wear of the cylinders and piston rings, the engine’s performance will decrease, and oil consumption will increase.
The air filter in the X3 is of exceptional quality, but over time, we discovered that the filter housing’s plastic pipe, on which the filter sits snugly and seals completely, fails to fulfill its task. In situations where our filter is clogged with dust, engine suffocation will cause filter distortion and pipe distortion. This phenomenon will occur even in new vehicles, allowing sand and dust to penetrate towards the engine.
Moreover, the filter housing is located in a hot area, and over time, the filter housing’s gasket undergoes deformation, changing from a circle to an ellipse. The seal is no longer complete, allowing sand to penetrate between the filter and the housing, and from there to the engine.
Our product is an aluminum sleeve engraved with CNC, penetrated into the filter housing pipe, ensuring its original shape to prevent distortions in cases where the filter is clogged, thus enabling a complete and permanent seal between the filter and the filter housing, prolonging engine life.
